"Back To The '70s with Charlie Tuna”

This show ran weekly on numerous stations around the United States.

Here is a brief excerpt of some of the content with my credit at 3:28 into the cut.

"Back To The '70s,” Daniel Excerpts 3:51

During a 2-year run, I engineered a weekly 5-hour syndicated radio show written, hosted, and produced by Los Angeles Radio Legend Charlie Tuna. Each show took a look back at the 1970s through the music, sound bites, and celebrity interviews from Charlie's archives.

I set up Pro Tools templates for Charlie, including voice-over signal chain consisting of compression, eq, and de-essing. I engineered audio, including clean-up of Charlie's interviews with celebrities; the source recordings spanned a wide variety of media including 1/4" analog reel, cassette tape, and CD. I used EQ and filters to restore the audio.

Final-pass editing included smoothing the mix, music, voice-over, and timing checks. I provided final mixdowns ready for mastering and broadcast by the distribution house.

That show ended and was followed by "The '70s with Charlie Tuna" as the most recent and best show yet with 4+ years of weekend broadcasts.
